I first entered City Hall as a volunteer and later staff to Mayor Brian Bowman. After transitioning from the Mayor’s Office to long-time Point Douglas City Councillor Mike Pagtakhan, I worked as his Executive Assistant until his decision to not seek re-election. Working closely with Councillor Pagtakhan, I have been able to work with the residents of Point Douglas and develop an excellent working relationship with several of the community groups, associations and other organizations in the neighbourhood, such as Centennial Community Improvement Association, Tyndall Park Park Community Centre, Casa Dos Acores, Banda Lira De Fatima, St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winnipeg Chinese Cultural & Community Centre, Unemployed Youth Africa Inc., Sinclair Park Community Centre, and many more.

As the right hand of a councillor, I have firsthand experience of what the job entails and what it takes to deliver results for the ward. I understand the priorities of Point Douglas and I want to focus on: public safety, community development, and creating opportunities for our children and youth. Through collaborative relationships, both in the administration and elected officials, I will continue to help deliver results for the constituents of Point Douglas upon my successful election.

In addition to volunteering, I enjoy helping local community non-profit groups such as the Knights of Rizal, Winnipeg Chapter Inc. in managing the Youth Recognition Awards. I am also a competitive arm wrestler and recently won bronze in Canada in my weight class.
