Traffic Study Keewatin and Logan

Moved by Councillor Santos,

WHEREAS the residents and businesses in and around this neighbourhood are continuing to have major concerns about the high traffic volumes and speeding at the intersection of Logan Avenue and Keewatin Street;

AND WHEREAS there have been a number of pedestrian and vehicle collisions at this intersection in the past few years;

AND WHEREAS there is a desire to review, amend and improve the traffic light signalization at the intersection of Logan Avenue and Keewatin Street;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lord Selkirk – West Kildonan Community Committee recommends to the Standing Policy Committee on Infrastructure Renewal and Public Works that the Winnipeg Public Service be instructed to undertake a traffic study at the intersection of Logan Avenue and Keewatin Street to determine what traffic light signalization
improvements can be made, and report back to the Standing Policy Committee on Infrastructure Renewal and Public Works within 60 days.
